For the week of the DublinTown Festival, La Cave Wine Bar have created a special food and wine pairing menu. Each dish on the 2- or 3-course menu will be perfectly matched with an outstanding wine to help discover all the flavours of the French cuisine.
To start choose from French Onion Soup Gratinée (served with Hugel Gewurztraminer 2014), Crab Tartlet with Braised Leeks and Gruyère Cheese (served with Marieta Albarinho 2017), Duck Liver Pâte with a Port Wine Gelée (served with Bestheim Pinot Gris 2015) or Baked Goat’s Cheese Salad with Apple Honey and Walnuts (served with Le Versant Sauvignon Blanc 2017).
Continue your culinary journey from a choice of Confit of Duck au Porto (served with Trésor Cathare Cabarnet Sauvignon 2017), Duo of Salmon and Sea-Trout Simply Grilled (served with Vignelaure La Source Rosé 2017), Prime Irish Sirloin Steak with Pepper Sauce (served with Catena Malbec 2016) or Gran Ravioli with Woodland Mushrooms and Spinach (served with Le Bombarde Cannonau di Sardegna 2017).
If opting for the sweet stuff at the end of your meal, there is a delactable selection to choose from; Crème Brûlée à la Cassonade, Chocolate and Raspberry Genoise with Vanilla Ice-Cream, Apple and Pear Tarte Tatin or classic French Cheeses.
This 2 Course Dinner costs €25 per person from Monday 15th to Sunday 21st October.
